Saging the home and the body before yoni steaming is essential in aligning your energy and mindset to healing vibrations making it easier to receive the transformation that happens during the yoni steaming process. Saging prior to steaming also helps to facilitate the "shadow work" process that is often needed and discovered during wombversation prior to yoni steaming.
TO SMUDGE YOUR HOME:
Light your sage stick and start at the front entrance of your home. Walk around the perimeter of your room in a clockwise direction with your sage stick lit and constantly burning, until you return back to the point where you began. Once you have completed a full circle, set your intentions to clear the space of all negative/ stagnated energy and call positive, free-flowing energy into the space. Walk around the perimeter of your room 2 more times each time stopping at the entrance and setting your intentions to clear the home of any unwanted energy. When you have completed your cleansing ceremony, set the energy in the space to one of positivity, and free-flowing energy by stating aloud how you want the energy in the space to be programmed. You can recite your preferred prayers for healing or protection as well. When you have completed saging and setting your intentions, you can let the sage continue to burn until it stops by itself or put out the fire by gently placing it into a glass or dirt/ sand to stifle the flames.
EXERCISE CAUTION WHEN BURNING SAGE MAKING SURE TO NEVER LEAVE IT BURNING UNATTENDED.
TO SMUDGE YOUR BODY OR BELONGINGS:
Light your sage bundle and set your intentions to remove or release all negative energy from your mind, body, and spirit. Began saging from the crown of the head making sure to let the smoke fully cover your body as you travel don the center of the body. As you reach your chest area/ arms, sage the right side of your body first making sure to include the breast, arms, and sides of the torso. Then go back to shoulder height on the left of the body, traveling along the length of the arms and alongside the torso. Next, come back to the center of the body making sure to circle your sage bundle at the stomach/womb area and the private parts. Wearing a skirt or loose-fitting pants is best for saging the private parts to ensure the smoke can reach every part of the body, especially the womb and vaginal area. As you continue to sage, go down the right leg first passing underneath the feet, and then to the left leg passing underneath the feet. If you do not have someone to assist you with saging your back from top to bottom, then you can turn slowly in a clockwise motion so you encase yourself in a circle of sage to make sure you get the back of yourself as well as the front.
*When saging your belongings, pass the sage bundle from the top of the item from the top to the bottom making sure to concentrate in spaces where there may be folds, crevices, or corners where stagnated energy can become trapped.
